2021 Spring Workshop

In Class Info, General Update on February 3, 2021 at 6:36 pm

Our 2021 Spring Playwrighting Workshop is full. Word is spreading about the educational opportunities offered by the Ohio Playwrights Circle.

After being forced by the pandemic to close down in the middle of the Workshop in March of last year, OPC adapted its programs to an online format and opened registration nationwide. As a result, familiar faces from the past joined new students and readers from across the country for the Level One and Level Two classes in the 2020-2021 season. The Workshop scheduled to begin in March sold out within hours of posting, again attracting new interest from and opportunities for students and actors throughout the nation. Unfortunately, the workshop marks the end of OPC’s season but Level One will again be offered in the Fall of 2021, followed by Level Two and the Workshop in Winter and Spring, respectively, of 2022.

Classes offered by OPC teach students the basics of playwrighting through writing assignments designed to specifically address the talents and needs of each individual student. The workshop allows students to advance their own personal projects, whether complete, in an early stage of development or somewhere in between, for readings, analysis and if needed, further revision and feedback.
