Summer Classes Scheduled

In Class Info on May 29, 2012 at 2:19 pm

We have schedule another Playwrighting Level I class for the summer to help accommodate those that were unable to attend the spring class.  Please join us.

Playwrighting – Level I

Wednesdays – 6pm -8:30pm

July 18, 25, August 1, 8, 15, 22.

This class is designed to take the mystery out of playwrighting and provide an introduction to new playwrights. The method of building a play is explored through a variety of exercises. Our focus will be on understanding the tools in basic dramatic structure.  The process involves a lot of scene writing, a lot of thinking, a lot of laughing, a lot of learning, and a lot of fun.   Each playwright will have the opportunity to create a 10-Minute Play that will be presented in a public reading.  The class is planned for novices and experienced playwrights alike and encourages the opportunity for playwrights to hear their work come to life. No Playwrights will be expected to begin the class with already completed work.  Actors and directors are welcome to be part of the process.

 Class size is limited.

Playwrights listening to their new work being read.
